Truckers nationwide are starting to refuse to deliver goods to New York City in protest of a massive $350 million lawsuit verdict against former President Donald Trump, following similar demonstrations against Covid lockdowns.
Following the surprising ruling by state Judge Arthur Engoron, who said that the Trump brand had artificially inflated the worth of its assets in order to unlawfully leverage lucrative commercial partnerships, the hordes of Trump-lover long-haul drivers started speaking up. If the family had to pay the entire sum, their roughly $1.5 billion real estate empire would collapse.
“I’m just one of the many millions of Truckers who believe in God and love this Country,” a trucker known as “Chicago Ray” wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “I stand with Trump bc Trump stands with me. Truckers for Trump ain’t just a slogan, it’s real,” he wrote.
“I’ve been on the radio talking to drivers for about the past hour, and I’ve talked to about 10 drivers,” Ray wrote. “I don’t know how far across the country this is or how many truckers are going to start denying loads going to New York City, but I’ll tell you what — you f— around and find out,” he said.
“I just received a call from a company I was getting a load from, and they said they don’t have any loads going to New York,” he said. “So if you in New York, you won’t be receiving anything from these drivers.” NOTE: This is borrowed
