100 and 102-year-old couple falls in love at nursing home and ties the knot.

It’s a familiar narrative, but this time we’re not talking about a young starry-eyed couple. Instead, there are two elders, both over 100 years old.

John and Phyllis Cook are both residents of the Kingston Residence, a senior living home in Sylvania, Ohio. They met and built a close relationship despite the fact that their flats were just one level away.

“To tell you the truth, we fell in love with each other,” Phyllis, who turns 103 this summer, told WNWO. “I know you think that may be a little bit far-fetched for somebody our age, but we fell in love with each other.”

“Well, we were just compatible in a whole lot of ways, found ourselves enjoying each other’s company,” said John, a 100-year-old WWII veteran. They were both widows, having previously been married twice.

Congratulations, newlyweds! John and Phyllis met while living in Kingston. At the tender ages of 103 and 100,

But their quality time together extends beyond Bingo. When asked what their favorite thing to do together was, John said, “Well, I probably shouldn’t talk about that.”

Phyllis was more candid:

“He’s not completely dead sexually and neither am I!” Phyllis informed KHOU 11. However, she had principles to consider: “I just don’t believe in hopping in bed as a Christian unless you’re married.”

So John decided to create an honest lady out of her, and they went to the courthouse to get a marriage license.

They had no idea they’d leave the courthouse married.

“It wasn’t the plan, but we got here and they said we could marry you here,” John was quoted as saying by WNWO.

He couldn’t wait for married life to start: “I said, ‘Good, let’s get it over with.’”

The pair may look forward to spending many wonderful years together. Despite their ages, they may have some decent genes: Phyllis’ mother lived to reach 106.

It’s a narrative that demonstrates that you’re never too old for a new relationship and a fresh start.

Nonetheless, the pair understands the value of having one’s own space, and Phyllis confirms that they will each have their own apartment. Why hasten things?

Wishing the pair a long marriage! Share their heartfelt tale!
